About the DSI:

The Division for School Improvement (DSI) is an integration of special projects that provides leadership, professional development, and technical assistance to high-poverty, low-performing districts and schools. Specifically, the Division for School Improvement (DSI):

Builds district capacity to assist and support high priority schools.
Aids schools in planning and implementing school improvement action plans.
Serves as a support system for schools identified as program improvement including schools in corrective action.
Offers technical assistance to districts serving Title I schools.
Disseminates resources to improve student learning and achievement.
Provides assistance to schools developing school wide programs.
Provides technical assistance and professional development to First 5 L.A. Grantees.
Provides training and assistance to Title VII, Indian Education grantees.

The Mission of the DSI:

Provides leadership, high quality professional development, and technical assistance to Program Improvement Schools, Districts, First 5 Grantees, and School Readiness Programs.
