During the 2003-04 school year, the
California Department of Education’s Child
Development Division, in partnership with
the California County Superintendents
Educational Services Association, initiated
the California Preschool Instructional
Network (CPIN). Eleven regional networks
were established. LACOE serves Region 11,
which is Los Angeles County.
CPIN Region 11 works to ensure that all children in the county have access to high quality early care and education. CPIN Region 11 accomplishes this by providing consistent, coordinated, quality professional development to a local network of preschool administrators, teacher leaders, community stakeholders as well as instructors and professors at educational institutions.
